There are many social networking sites which can increase traffic like facebook,orkut.
Orkut is not so popular in India but it can increase traffic a bit but from facebook you can get many visitors just by making a page about your company or your site.
There are other sites which are meant to increase online traffic like digg, reddit, linked in, folk.d, stumble upon, tweeter, delicious and also myspace. There are other sites but these are good SMO sites for you to increase traffic .Now it is up to you how you work on these sites to generate huge traffic to your site

In some years I can see that future of SEO is very bleak.
In future Optimization will not only be restricted to Personal Computers but also to mobiles.
You can say that Mobile SEO is said to be the future of Optimization
I'm saying this because there are many mobiles nowadays that have windows , android and have big screens,so most people will be gluing to there mobiles instead of their computers.
But there is a difference in that in today's optimization if the website is on 1st page that is in between 1st to 10th results then it will get traffic surely but in mobiles if the you have to do SEO in the way that your website will be in 1st 3 results.
Also there will be different tools on mobiles than PC so SEO will be difficult in mobiles than Computers.
